There is no catch. The PDF generation happens in your browser using WebAssembly, so we don't pay for server compute per document. Hosting the static site is cheap. That's the whole business model - there isn't one.

No. You can build, edit, and download unlimited resumes without any account. If you want to access your resumes from multiple devices, you can optionally create a free account to sync up to 3 resumes to the cloud. The limit keeps the service free for everyone.

It's a real PDF with properly typeset text, embedded fonts, and selectable content. We use Typst, a professional typesetting engine - think LaTeX quality without the learning curve. The output is better than what most paid tools produce.

In your browser's local storage. Your resume data never leaves your device unless you explicitly create an account and opt into cloud sync. We don't track you, we don't run analytics, and we don't sell data.

Yes. The PDFs use clean text rendering with standard fonts. There are no images-of-text, no complex multi-column layouts that confuse parsers, and no invisible elements. ATS systems can read them without issues.

Canva requires an account and shows premium upsells while you build. Zety lets you build for free but charges to download the PDF. Both store your data on their servers. We don't require accounts, don't charge anything, don't run ads, and keep your data on your device.

Yes. The builder is fully responsive. On mobile, there's a floating button that opens a full-screen preview so you can see exactly what your resume looks like while editing.

Yes. After loading the site once, the service worker caches everything. You can build and download resumes without an internet connection.

Yes. Export your resume as a JSON file and import it on another device or browser. Your data, your file, no account needed.
